Allouez Bay Marsh Bird Habitat Restoration (Phase 1): 2025 Field Season Update
Phase 1 of the Allouez Bay Marsh Bird Habitat Restoration, completed in 2024, created patchy channels, pools, and native vegetation to support marsh birds. In 2025, crews monitored vegetation and birds, and conducted follow-up invasive species control on 8 acres. Early signs show positive responses from both plants and wildlife. Monitoring will continue through 2026, and planning for Phase 2 is underway. Click here to learn more.
