NEW CONCEPT POSTERS: Help Shape the Future of the 44th Avenue Waterfront
Planning continues for future public access at the 44th Avenue waterfront in Superior, and we want to hear from you.
On August 24, community members and project partners gathered for a Community Design Workshop hosted by the City of Superior, Stantec, and the St. Louis River Alliance. Participants reviewed early ideas for the site and shared what they would like to see as planning moves forward.
Now, we're making the concept posters from the workshop available for the broader community to review and provide feedback.

Review the Concept Posters
The posters explore a variety of potential amenities, site features, and ways the waterfront could be used. These are concepts—not final designs. They are intended to help the community consider possibilities and provide direction for the next stage of planning.
As you review the posters, we encourage you to think about:
Which amenities or features do you support?
What would you prioritize?
Is anything missing?
Is there anything you think should be reconsidered?
What would help make this waterfront welcoming, useful, and safe for the community?
Share Your Feedback by the End of September
You don't need to have attended the August workshop to participate. Everyone is invited to review the concepts and share their thoughts.
Feedback can be submitted in narrative format by email to maruskab@superiorwi.gov and will be accepted through the end of September.
Community input gathered during the August workshop and throughout this comment period will help inform the next round of concept development for the site.
The 44th Avenue waterfront is a unique place with the potential to provide greater community access to Allouez Bay while continuing to accommodate existing uses of the property. Your feedback can help shape what comes next.
