The River Speaks: Art of the Estuary | On Display throughout March

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening reception of The River Speaks: Art of the Estuary at Wussow’s Concert Café on March 5, 2026. The room was packed with artists, community members, friends, and river lovers, and the energy in the space was a beautiful reminder of how deeply the St. Louis River connects us all.

We are especially grateful to the 22+ featured artists exhibiting their work. Representing many ages, backgrounds, and creative practices, the exhibition includes pieces spanning a wide range of mediums. Seeing so many unique perspectives on the wall together created a powerful collective portrait of our shared watershed.

Following the reception, Open Mic Night brought even more creativity into the evening. Musicians, poets, and storytellers stepped forward to share river-inspired songs and reflections, filling the room with heartfelt tributes to the places and waters that shape our lives.

The River Speaks: Art of the Estuary is a community 2D art exhibition celebrating the deep ecological, cultural, and personal connections people hold with the St. Louis River Estuary. The St. Louis River Alliance is honored to host this exhibition throughout March 2026 at Wussow’s Concert Café.

If you missed the opening, there is still time to experience the show. The artwork will remain on display throughout the month of March, and we encourage you to stop by, take in the pieces, and support the incredible artists who helped bring this exhibition to life.
