Support the St. Louis River Alliance Throughout September at Whole Foods Co-op!
This September, when you shop at Whole Foods Co-op Duluth, you have the power to protect and celebrate one of our region’s most vital natural resources—the St. Louis River. We’re thrilled to announce that the St. Louis River Alliance is the GIVE! Round Up at the Register recipient for the entire month.
Round Up for a Healthier River
Every time you check out at the Co-op, you’ll have the opportunity to round up your purchase to the nearest dollar. Those few cents may seem small—but collectively, they make a big impact. Your donations go directly to supporting the work of the St. Louis River Alliance and our efforts to protect, restore, and celebrate the St. Louis River. While you’re shopping pick up a bag of the St. Louis River Roast, a collaborative coffee blend with Alakef Coffee Roasters where 100% of net profits go back to the Alliance.
Why the St. Louis River Matters
Flowing through our communities and into Lake Superior, the St. Louis River is a critical ecosystem and a cherished place for recreation, culture, and wildlife. Once heavily polluted, the river has made incredible strides thanks to decades of community effort, advocacy, and restoration.
The St. Louis River Alliance connects our community to the St. Louis River through hands-on programs, guided paddles, clean-up events, educational outreach, and remediation and restoration project updates. By creating meaningful experiences on and around the river, we inspire stewardship, celebrate the river’s recovery, and help people build lasting relationships with this vital natural resource.
Every Penny Counts
So next time you shop at Whole Foods Co-op Duluth, don’t forget to round up at the register. It’s a small action that helps protect something truly big: the future of the St. Louis River.
From all of us at the St. Louis River Alliance, thank you for your support. Together, we can keep the river strong, healthy, and thriving for generations to come. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram @stlouisriveralliance.
