The internationally celebrated Paddling Film Festival World Tour is returning to the Twin Ports, bringing an evening of adventure, storytelling, and community connection to downtown Duluth.

Hosted by the St. Louis River Alliance, North Shore SUP, and Paddle it Forward, the event will take place Thursday, May 14 at Zinema Theatres (222 E. Superior St.). The festival invites paddlers, outdoor enthusiasts, and community members to gather for inspiring films celebrating rivers, lakes, and human-powered adventure.

The Twin Ports World Tour Stop will feature the same collection of award-winning paddling films shown in two simultaneous screenings. Showtimes start at 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., allowing attendees time to connect with fellow paddlers, meet special guests, and participate in raffle activities before the films begin.

“This event is about more than films,” said organizers with the St. Louis River Alliance. “It’s about celebrating the waterways that connect our communities and inspiring people to get outside, explore, and care for the places we paddle.”

The event will feature appearances by regional paddling leaders, including Sam Armacost of BIPOC Outdoors Twin Ports and Greg Petry of Superior Dream, offering attendees a chance to meet local adventurers who have completed remarkable paddling journeys across the region.

Guests can also enjoy door prizes, raffle giveaways, concessions, and a post-film community gathering at Zeitgeist Restaurant & Bar following the screenings.

Advanced tickets are only $25, which also serves as their door prize entry. Proceeds from the event benefit the St. Louis River Alliance and the Paddle it Forward Project — two organizations dedicated to connecting people with regional waterways through stewardship, education, and recreation.
