During our 2025 Fall Membership Drive, running November 7 to December 31, 2025, we invite you to support the work of the St. Louis River Alliance and our mission to protect, restore, and connect our community to this vital water source.

Referring a friend who joins SLRA
All qualifying memberships, donations, and successful referrals between Nov. 7 and Dec. 31, 2025 will be entered to win a 12' Pelican kayak and paddle package donated by Marine General (a $700 value)! Multiple entries are allowed for additional donations or referrals, making your support go even further.'
2025 Highlights & Accomplishments
Below are a few of our 2025 highlights and accomplishments, and some great reasons to support our work. Check out our full highlight list with pictures here.
Stewardship & Recreation: 19 free events connecting hundreds of community members to the river, including Starry Skies, Beginner Fishing, Community Paddles, Full Moon Gatherings, River Orientation, Water Wednesdays, and more.
Community Engagement: Collected river stories and reflections through Riverfront Memories gatherings, River Stories, and visitor questionnaires to guide restoration and stewardship planning.
St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail: Managed and promoted the trail, printed the 3rd edition NWT map, hosted paddles and educational programs, and launched a new landing page with resources and itineraries.
Manoomin (Wild Rice) Restoration: Celebrated 10 years of planting native wild rice in Kingsbury and Allouez Bays—over 4,000 pounds seeded by volunteers, supported by the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and Tribal partners.
Piping Plover Monitoring & Habitat Work: 14th year of monitoring at Wisconsin Point; volunteers removed invasive plants and maintained habitat for future nesting.
Area of Concern & River Connection: Hosted 4 community events along the river, continuing our decades-long work fostering collaboration between agencies, tribes, and residents.
Celebrate with Us at Our River Appreciation Party
To thank our members and supporters, we invite you to our River Appreciation Party on Wednesday, December 10, 5:30–7:30 PM at Clyde Iron Works Upstairs Bar, 2920 W Michigan St, Duluth. Enjoy cake, a cash bar, door prizes, free trail maps, and the chance to connect with staff, board members, and fellow river allies.
