| The St. Louis River Citizens Action Committee (CAC) serves to oversee activities and practices to restore and protect the St. Louis River. Primary activities include fostering communication between public and tribal agencies, industry groups and community stakeholders. These actions augment good stewardship and sound management for the resources provided by the St. Louis River, Lake Superior and their watersheds. We are people of all ages and walks of life who have worked together for the last 10 years to improve the St. Louis River. Welcome to our Web site! We appreciate your interest in our work and in the St. Louis River! The lower 39 miles of the St. Louis River System is a designated Area of Concern that is being addressed through a Remedial Action Plan. We are key partners in the Remedial Action Plan that has identified environmental problems and developed 43 recommendations, which are in various stages of implementation. The CAC holds "quarterly" Board meetings typically on the fourth Wednesday of January, March, May and October. In addition, the CAC holds monthly Executive Committee meetings from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. Everyone is welcome!
